I'm getting ready to buy a Z4. I live in DC so the weather isn't always convertible weather. But will I still be able to drive my car year round? I know most people that have a Z4 have it as a weekend or summer car- this will be my only car. Also, can you send the car through the car wash with a canvas soft top? What accessibility will I lose with this car? Thanks!

I have a Z3 and would never take it to a car wash, that said there is no way a convertible is not going to leak considering the pressure at those wash places. If I had my hard top on it most likely would not leak, but like I said I would not take it to a car wash.

I suggest getting a hard top with it, assuming they are available for the Z4.

I will be using my Z4 all year round. I live in Alberta!! I am, however, investing in a set of amazing Nokian Hakkapellia 2 studded tires for which will be my first winter with the car.

I had my 2005 3.0i sport pkg Z4 in San Diego, ca, however I had traded in an X5 for it, I kept it 3.5 months before trading it in for another X5, there an amazing vehicle for what they are but just not practical.
