Anyone know of a reasonably priced upholsterer (sp) for seats and convertible tops in the MD/PA/VA area?

I'm looking to get the top and seats done by spring and if I need to drive it and leave it for a couple of weeks I'm ready.....its cold as frog balls right now, but I want to have her back on the road by March! Oh yeah, I'll probably need carpeting too. The car took a beating for the last two years with water....I wouldn't dream of replacing the top myself..

"automotive concepts" is pretty reasonable; they have a shop in towson; right near york & seminary. Also check in the yellow pages and call a bunch of places up. If you're near essex / dundalk area, there a BUNCH of places that'll do it fairly cheap. Also, you may want to save some big $$ and go online and find seat covers and replace them yourself.

Excellent! I'm in Randallstown, so Towson is close. I'll check around. I moved to the B'more area in the latter part of the summer and I'm still learning my way around, especially trying to find the right mechanic and such.

I take my baby to Autobahn of Towson --> Corner of York & Stevenson. Great place for repair; cheap, but they're always booked.


What part of Randallstown?

I don't remember where, but down in the city near Lake Montebello there are a bunch of reupholstery shops. I'm not in MD right now otherwise I would have looked it up and given you the addresses & numbers.

I'm at the edge...Liberty Road. Its easy for me to get into Owings Mills or Towson. I'm going to take your advise and get some really good seat covers....but only after the top is done....too much rain and its over. I've got her covered up now, so thats just keeping it safe from further damage, but the sooner I get the top done, the faster I can move on to getting new wheels/tires, etc.

I may have to check Autobahn out, because the 90 525i is giving me fits, and if they're reasonable that will save me a trip back to Alexandria, VA for repair. I'll look them up now.
