my engine light came on the other day, i didn't notice any driveability issues the rest of the way to work so i took a peek at it during lunch. no hoses off, wire connections OK, but the intake air bellows elbow showed cracking. not like the cracks were through all the way though. i remembered in the Downing/Atlanta install instructions that they said to check the bellows for cracks and replace if necessary. on the way home i felt like everyone knew my engine light was on, i hate that! stopped at the dealer on the way and got a new rubber. $40. got home and put it on in about 2 minutes, and the light went off by itself when i started it. couldn't believe it! no battery cable, radio code, reprogram... just wondering if anyone else has had the elbow crap out? i had to look at it again after the light went off by itself and the cracks are not visibly all the way through when looking from the inside and stretching, poking, pulling at it. i'm still mystified.
