Custom Plates

Are you allowed to have an orange-yellow color license plates? You know the ones you get with a rental car- I dunno, they look really cool, mafia-like. I ask this because I heard from somewhere that you can customized the numbers and letters but not the color of the whole plate, is this true?

must be a Canada thing. The rental cars I've seen in the US have normal plates. You're lucky if you even see the rental car logo b/c we have problems of people hijacking or robbing people in rental cars cuz they know they're tourists

I believe its against the law to alter the license plate.

This reminds me of a guy who got a custom plate that read "NO PLATE". The guy got hundreds of parking tickets before he decided he had enough human stupidity. Sad how shallow some people are.

when you say custom plates, i suppose you mean euro style. and they ususally come in white because thats what all of europe have, except those holland people. and uk i think.

altering a government plate is illegal. you can get a personalized plate from the gov. just costs the price of new registration.

If my dad came through, he might be bringing a few back with him from his latest trip to the motherland. the one that came on my car isnt looking too great anymore. weird how its the original one and my car has been across the atlantic three times!

In CA, there are a variety of custom plates with different color schemes and images (I have the whale one). They range in price from $15 to $50 (anually). As a separate option, you can also choose personalized numbers/letters for an additional fee.
