dance with Mustang.....

I don't usually write stories like this but raced with Musting last night. I must say my 14 year old 525 really surprised me!! I usually use my car as daily driver but last night a Mustang keeps tailgating me for a about a block. So I had to do what any Bavarian sprited driver must do: I down shifted (auto) and step on the gas. I did not know my bimmer could hang with a mustang or better yet out-handled him on a few curves!!! This baby could handle. I think the Mustang was quite surprised. I've had a quite a few bimmers in the past but I've never realized it's potential.

I think it's time for me to get a M3 and take it to the track.

Thanks for sharing that!! Just shows the true spirit and power of a bimmer no matter how old, they are after all sheer driving pleasure, not to mention many other great things about them. I hope one day to join you BMW drivers... hopefully in December, b'day maybe *hopes*

no rev limiter?

I did not realize that mine had no rev limiter. I was hitting redline in all gears! Is it same with all e39?

I drove a new mustang gt and must say it has some power. lots of engine not much else.
