dashboard lights out

I have several banks of LED lights that are out on my dash console. Things like the odometer are missing lights and hard to read and I also have lights out in my radio display. Is this a quick repair or is there a lot a labor involved in replacing these bulbs or whatever they use to light up the digits?

That's a common fault on the E39's
Do a search on "LED" or "pixels", it's been discussed many times before, and you will find some helpful information.
