Hi folks, new to the forum and hoping for some information... I bought a 2001 525it sport wagon brand new - when the car was set up I was asked if I wanted daytime running lights - yes, I did.... years went by and I rear ended someone and had to have my headlights (xenon) and hood replaced (ouch) - after which I had to have my headlights adjusted because I was constantly getting high beamed.. after getting the adjustment done - I had no day time running lights - so I went back to the dealership that adjusted them and they turned them back on (rudely I might add)... now I had headlights on - but no angel eyes unless I turn my headlight switch one turn over.. which I KNOW i did not have to do before.. I took my car to a different and very nice dealership elsewhere. They hooked it up to the computer and said there is no option for angel eyes to run daylight - only headlights..... I know I had angel eyes before - I had seen them - and I'm positive I did not have to turn my headlight switch to accomplish this - which I do have to do now to have my angel eyes on... anybody know what might be going on? have I lost my mind and only imagined I saw angel eyes before? or possibly a change made when the headlights were replaced???? I feel like a idiot - but I'm so sure of what I had - but no proof... help please.... I love my car and the angel eyes..... my plates are angelk9 so it's extra important to me... I got the sport wagon just to drive my dogs around in - I'm so glad they let me drive their car :) Thanks!!!!! Susan

DRL's are usually angel eyes. when your headlights were replaced, did they use all OEM parts? the light assemblies changed for your 5 series very often i know that....i'll try to dig something up, in the meantime, try another dealer?

I know I have to turn the switch once for angel eyes. I too have running lights, but the angel eyes come on if I turn the witch. Thats the only way the I can have them both on simultaneously. I dont think you can have both on unless a turn of the switch is done.
