After a grueling 48 hour wait (I couldn't make it to the dealership yesterday, and the dealer has a day off today...)

I am finally taking delivery of my new 2004 M3 Coupe tommorow.,

options are:

Titanium Silver
Black Leather
SMG2
Premium/Cold Pkgs
Xenon
Harman Kardon
Park Distance

Anyways, if you read the other thread, I got a great deal, but I'm always up for more free stuff

Few questions:

1. Were there any changes to 2004 M3s over previous years? i heard LED brakelights . but what else

2. Will there be a 2005 M3?

3. Should i pump the dealer for some extra stuff from their merchandise store, t-shirts, keychains, that sort of stuff? - he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that will offer it, i had to play 2 hours of hard to get over the phone for him to drop the price a measely 3500

in retrospect that seems like quite a lot in this current market for new M3s, but coming from being a complete 100% porsche guy (almost didnt buy the M3 to buy a Cayenne S), I'm used to easy discounts, especially from NJ dealers, and they will goodwill $5k~ just for the business.

I've heard wonderful things about this place, and you people are very helpful, this praise comes from even 'rival' boards such as rennlist/ppbb.com

24 Hours

Pics by the weekend!

Best,

Tom

Congrats Moogle! Only a 48 hour wait? You are my friend are very lucky.

Any case, aside from the LED lights, the tailgate handle is a bit longer and you have the optional BMW Assist which gives you a rectangular rear view mirror instead of the oval.

I received free floor mats, a gift basket, a keychain, and a T-shirt from my salesman. It never hurts to ask for free products when you are making a large purchase.

Your M3 is above and beyond the Cayenne S. Its not your average car as you will soon find out. Yes there will be a 2005 M3. Nothing super major, its still an E46. I recommend the keychain.

Congrats !!

We rec'd a dinner to a very nice restaurant - a couple weeks later in the mail with a thank-you card...along with key chains & floor mats,

But $3500 off MSRP is Damn freakincrazyitisly great !!!

Above all that though, hopefully after the break-in period you feel the passion I do for a fine car. This car definately throws more performance at me than ever imagined.

Congrats and HURRY UP WITH THOSE PICS! [joke]

flashinthepan, Nice ride [thumb] . What size rims are those?

Just curious but I've got an '03 w the LEDs. Did the LEDs start late '03 or is my car just odd?

Only 1 BMW Center within 60 miles -- And both owned by "Fields" -- so no real competition in my market to do a lot of bargaining. -Got 600 bucks off for being a repeat customer. I tried to get extra free stuff (besides the usual key chain and floor mats). They laughed at me like I was out of line when I asked for a simple chrome front BMW plate and the cheap little chrome exhaust tips -- (not standard on the 325i) --
Maybe if I was shelling out another $20k for a M3 like you guys...they would budged a little more. Oh well...maybe in 07' when I finally graduate to the M3 world.

Actually discounts are typically harder to come by with lmt'd production vehicles. For instance in my area, M3's are typically sold well in advance of delivery, unlike other non-M cars where you get several regularly.

But then again...M3's are discounted too..just hope you have good timing and live in an area that cars are soft in the selling dept.
