Looks great. That hood is clean as a wistle.

As for the sun, professional photographers will tell you that you get the best pictures in cloudy weather or at dawn or dusk. High noon sun light is terrible for taking pictures I thought.

My recent pics in my gallery were taken at dusk on a slightly overcast day.

I agree with you and the pro photographers that late sun/early sun or overcast are great for taking pictures but I like the full sun for a few of my pics because you can't hide those swirls and stuff as the natural light of the sun reveals them if they are there. There are ways around this of course in the full sun but less likely of a chance to miss them.
