Dinan Short Throw Shifter

I don't know how long they've had it but Dinan is offering a shifter for @ $160 + 8 labor units (however much that is). What does everyone think? Anyone have this setup or driven, seen, etc this thing?

That's what I'm thinking too. Just curious, do you (or anyone else) know what Dinan's "Labor Units" translate into $/hr?

Just found this:

Installation Labor
Labor “units” are provided as a reference for determining your retail installation price for each Dinan Performance
Product. Each labor unit represents 1/10 of an hour. Dinan recommends, however, that the installation is sold
based upon the number of labor units published, not the time required to install the product. The actual installation
time may vary depending upon the technician’s experience and other factors.

So, they're saying 8/10ths of an hour... not bad! AND, DINAN-Mountain View is only a few exits away down 101.

Exactly, it is a pretty straight forward and easy install. I did the one in my e30 myself. Call your local Dinan shop and ask them what the installed price is?

I'll be calling Dinan of Mountain View today or tomorrow. I've never really liked the stock shifter, hopefully this will be a nice upgrade.
