Depends on what you are changing, are you replacing the rotors this time around? Either way if you check with Pelican Parts dot com in their technical section they have the DYI information. The photos in the article will be E30 but it is the same with your car might just look different. Brakes are fairly easy if you have some mechanical skills and take your time. Good luck.

Steps and parts

Hi there...
Tools are underlined, parts are bold.

1. Loosen wheel bolts 1 turn w/17mm lug wrench
2. Lift both sides (front or rear)and remove wheels after blocking the wheels you're not removing.
3. Remove retainer spring off of caliper with a screwdriver/prybar. Watch out, it may pop out dangerously!
4. Remove plugs from rear of caliper (covering Allen bolts for caliper)
5. Use 7mm (I think) Allen wrench/socket to remove bolts.
6. Remove caliper off from disk (you may need to squeeze the piston back into the caliper a bit... ), and hang it up with a coathanger to avoid putting tension on the brake hose.
7. Remove pads from caliper and SLOWLY push the piston back into the caliper with slip joint pliers
8. Remove bolts (2) from caliper carrier (they might be tight) w/16mm wrench/socket
9. Use 6mm (I think) Allen wrench/socket to remove bolt out of the disk.
10. Remove disk from hub (you may need a hammer to persuede it),and using a wire brush, clean the hub, caliper and carrier and caliper bolts to remove brake dust build up (please use a mask)
11. Install new disk and re-use old bolt to hold it on.
12. Reinstall caliper carrier and tighten carrier bolts
13. Spread lubricant (silicone brake lube) onto all brake pads contact surfaces(where the pads' metal backing will touch the caliper and carrier). Do not lube the pad where it makes contact w/the disk.
14. Put the outer pad in place on the carrier, and the inner pad in place on the caliper, and put the caliper back on the the disk, securing it w/ the 2 lubed caliper bolts.
15. Reinstall the hold down spring, tapping it so that it sits nicely.
16. There is a brake wear sensor on the left front inner pad and another one on the right rear inner pad that are very easy to replace.
17. Reinstall wheels, lower car and torque wheel bolts (if you have a torque wrench) to about 75-80 lb/ft.

If I'm missing something, please chime in.
