I'm sure this was discussed before but aren't the characteristics of an e30 iS basketweaves, leather, premium sound, coupe, spoiler, (for manual) getrag 240 tranny, and lsd?

Should i have ellipsoids or was that earlier years. I can buy my entire headlight at walmart if i wanted. It’s a sealed round headlight. (thumbs down on my headlights! other than getting cheap replacements)

Maybe i lost the S from the back of my car.... I just wanted to be sure of what i have.

I appreciate all the help!

Any model with an "s" suffix, like the 318is, 325es, and 325is, denotes the sport model which only came in two door form. It can be easily recognized by its front spoiler with integrated foglights, rear decklid spoiler, and 14" BBS cross-spoke "basketweave" rims. It also featured a limited slip differential (optional on the 318is) , bolstered sport seats, thicker swaybars, slightly stiffer shocks and front springs, and 3-spoke sport steering wheel (except '90 on, which used a leather-wrapped airbag wheel). The 325es and 325is came with an on board computer, power sunroof/mirrors/windows, central locking, and premium sound system standard as well. In 1991 there was no official 325is model, although the Sport package with all the aforementioned items was still available.

That explains it then. I have all of those options listed, though i don't have an OBC. All i have is the temp/clock display. Not sure what kind of suspension I had. It definitely needed to be lowered! It's better now.

e30network.com came up with could not find server....

Thanks for all the info!

thanks guys, i never really knew wether to click 325i or 325is when getting parts online. Especially now that i'm buying drive shaft parts. I bought a new guibo and center bearing support for the clutch job i did a bit back. I changed the guibo and saw that the center bearing was still perfect so i left it in there. Over the past few weeks i developed a terrible drive shaft shake under torque which eventually blew out my center bearing support rubber. SO i took it all apart again and put in a new center support (the one i bought) thinking i didn't pre-load it correctly. Well still shook like mad. Now my new guibo is destroyed and i found out that it was my ujoint the whole time.

Well now i have to buy a whole new drive shaft because the ujoints are not serviceable. A rebuilt one cost something like 400 dollars and i need a new guibo, what another 60. dang i'm going broke here. Anyway i just wanted to make sure of what i had before i went and bought the stuff.

I'm going to try to get one at a junk yard but i think the 91's are significantly different than the rest. I saw one from a 90 and the guibo was HUGE! It was all different. Anyone have to buy a drive shaft that actually read all my babbling that could suggest something else?

I appreciate it.

(I should probably start a new thread on the drive shaft but i'll see what happens here first)
