Thought I'd try to organize a midwest event of sorts involving Road America and a group of cars.
Two dates come to mind:
1. September 20-21 the Vintage Sports Car Driver's Association is having a vintage event with Lotus as the featured marque. ( www.vscda.org) ( www.roadamerica.com )
There will be track touring both days (which means you can take your car on the world-famous track for 30-45 minutes at a cost of $30-50).
2. October 4-5 is Octoberfast, a two-day driving school put on by the badger bimmers chapter of the BMW CCA. I will be there, you should too. I don't know if its too late to register. ( www.badgerbimmers.org )
In any event, I like to caravan to these events with fellow enthusiasts (the drive from Milwaukee is damn near as fun as driving on the track) and want to get my BMW boys to come along. I'll be there for both events.
Let me know if anyone is interested.
