I am getting ready to undergo a project that involves an e28 and an m70 v12, and was wondering if anyone has ever done the conversion before? It wouldn't be hard for me to figure out the differences before the install, but if so it would help. Thanks.

What drivetrain are you going to use? It sounds like a helluva complicated job but i hope you can do it. E28s are very cool as Q-cars

drivetrain out of a '93 850ci with six speed manual, it's going to be a while before it's finished.

Just a word of advice: Make sure you fix up the ENTIRE CAR. be as meticulious as possible and try to have some patience. I know someone (so does froda) who dropped an S52 engine (e36 m3) into an E30 325is. He is extremely anal about EVERYTHING - including clenliness. His engine bay looks cleaner than a brand new bmw.

Second - make sure you build in a roll cage just for safety. With all that power in a light car, you'll be glad you have the security.

Oh definately, I don't half-ass anything. It'll have sparco seats, 4-point harnesses, big brakes all around, the works.

Good! Also do yourself a HUGE favor and buy a bead blaster cabinet... sure it's a good $400 but it is 100% worth it!!!
