hi all...i pulled off a cruise controloff another 325...anyone familair with installing this please let me know.
....I have the modual, the actuature, cable(cut at the end), wireing harness, switch, manifold mouting brackett and steering column cover....I don't know if I got all the parts that i needed and I would like to know what the two wires that stem off from the wiring harness lead to...or is this even worth it. thanx, hoh
PS: I was looking at my past posts(not many since I like to figure it all out on my own), and some of the things I poasted just look stupid now. well anyway I put a pic of my car on my avitar , I'm not finished with this car but it looks like a totaly different car than when I started.

It gets its speed reading from the back of the IC (instrument cluster). If your IC doesn't have the plugs (green single pin), then in some cases you can just get the harness and plug it into the back of the IC, otherwise you need an IC that can handle the harness. If you have an OBC (on board computer) then you will have the harness as the OBC gets its speed pick up from there too.

I havn't pulled the whole thing apart before, but have fiddled with mine a bit.

You need to hook up one of the wires to the microswitch for the brake light on the brake pedal so it disables when you brake. ditto for clutch pedal if manual - but you'll have to buy and install the switch or live without it (ask if you're not sure what I mean).

If auto you need to have it hooked into the auto so that it knows when the car is in gear or not (although AFAIK it should work regardless),

Go as far as you can then ask for specific help when you need it.
