so,
followed Ferdinand's advice and cut a little off., thanks.
there were oem pre-cut starters, perhaps it was a replacement carpet.

some of the highlights include...

- removing accelerator pedal bottom section from floor, push-in lower tabs, pull upwards and it will release.

- removing accelerator stop peg, very easy, but a must do prior to carpet install.

- also, retrofitted wire harness for heated seat, very easy too, just ran it alone existing window switch harness.
Positive comes from power block to the left of steering column, unique connector to unique receptor,
can't miss, to the left of RD/GR & WH/PL.
negative mates with other grounds in same general area.
no relays involved.

- figuring out wire mesh for extra gauges, hahhaha, i don't label nuthings :)

- and last but not least, a snaped soft top lid handle, it feel apart, hahahha., good times :)

have a ton of pics, posting links to them and a few actual images of the mid morning ordeal,
sorry but sun shined hard at times so there's glare towards he end.

Nice write up.
However the only carpet exchanges i see on forums are the coupes or the verts, are they the same carpets as the 4 door sedan?
do the heated seat really noticably get hot? or do they just warm alittle?

the "new to you" carpet looks alot better than the original, well done :)

thanks,

sorry, not sure about carpets interchangeability,

seats have 2 settings, look warm and hot, the hotter setting warms up to about mid section of torso.

cheerios,
