One of the items next on my list of things to do is replace the muffler on my car. When I got the car, the back of the muffler was mangled to hell and the tips were missing, everything inside the muffler rattles and a leak out the side is actually causing damage to my bumper, which is only getting worse. My spending limit is about $200 for a new one, I already picked up a supersprint for an E46, foolishly thinking I could make it fit on a much different car. The space turned out to be way too narrow, however, and I am now looking to re-sell this if anyone is interested. Here's a few options I was thinking of, though:
1) I have another supersprint available that is on my old car ('84 318i) and looks like it should fit the E34, but is only single inlet. Would this be a worthy install or not?
2) 2 glass packs after the resonator (one on each pipe) with nice tips at the end.
3) ANY IDEAS? thanks
