Engine Compartment

What should I use to clean the engine compartment? I used to just use engine degreaser and detailer on my truck, but there is so much plastic and such under the hood I dont want to mess it up. I have a pressure washer, but I don't know what all I should protect under the hood if I have to.

i use simple green automotive cleaner. works extremely good.

does anyone have a DIY or just some tips to cleaning the engine bay ...

i would assume you have to watch where some of that water goes =)

I use simple green also, but if you let it dry it will stain plastic and aluminium parts, so be sure to rinse it quickly. I spray water with reckless abandon and haven't had any problems yet.
