Hello,

I am new to this forum.... Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced the above-mentioned warning light in their 525? I drive a 2002 sport wagon. To date it has been incredibly reliable. I am not due for service for a few months and am currently having no problems with the car. However for the past week, this warning light has been sounding every 200 or so miles. I had never before seen this. I follow the steps in the manual for resolving the problem, and the warning light disappears. Not sure what is up. I will take it in for service, but just thought maybe someone else out there may have a take on this? Thanks!

Welcome to the board. I know nothing about you warning light issue but did not want to ignore you. Usually a warning light is due to some issue but it does not mean it is serious. I have a 97 Chev pickup that gives me a "service engine" soon light every couple of months. I had the code read and it is a transmission slip that was picked up by the system. I had the transmission serviced after the first time, four years ago, I still get the same fault code and have been ignoring it. My truck runs flawless and there have been no transmission issues. Who knows, have the dealer check it when your in for your service.
