Engine Management Warning Light

Hi there. The engine management warning light came on my car earlier today. Does this tend to be a problem on Z3's? My car is a 2000 3.0i model.

(Oh yeah - I only just got the car today too....typcial)

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I have never seen that light displayed in either of mine. Of you find out what caused it let us know. Post a photo of your car and welcome to the board.

I'm going to take the car into the BMW garage and get them to get it out. However, I'm still having fun with the car

Turns out that it was down to the super grade petrol - use regular unleaded and there is no warning light.

Still enjoying the car - with no more problems with the engine management Unfortunately it's now the wrong time of year over here and its getting cold - no chance of having the roof down. This car is so much better than the Alfa GTV I had previously - I've got a constant smile on my face every time I drive the car
