i got a can/bottle of Engine Restore and before i pour it into my car i was just wondering if that is a good idea, i am always scared to pour stuff into my car, hehe. thanks
I would not put any additive in my oil! There is no such thing as a mechanic in a can. I can understand fuel additives that clean injectors, etc. What are you trying to restore?
Argh, it's a metallic surfacer, "(internal metallic surface conditioning treatment)." ... like Slick50! I would not put that in my lawn mower. I have heard horro stories where this stuff has gummed up enternal parts.
If that is one of the witches brews that coat the surfaces do not do it. The coatings eventually flake off and plug oil passages. If it is not , it is usually a viscosity thickener. You can do the same with a heavier grade oil.
