Anyone here have any firsthand knowledge of the ESS supercharger kits? I have been tossing the idea around. I am a big fan of forced induction, previously owned a '92 GMC Typhoon and currently own an '87 Buick Turbo Regal. TIA.

Thanks for the replies. The write up said a con for ess was it's use of a powerdyne supercharger and a pro for dinan to use vortech. The ESS kit for the 540 uses a vortech, so there aren't many cons left on the page for ESS.
Thanks again!

Hmm, that is new. Maybe you can find out if they are going with the original Dinan design or the newer one.

You can click here and get a measure of how much of a performance difference there is between the old Dinan and the ESS.

Since then I believeJimmy 540i.com has said that Dinan changed their pulley.

Doesn't look like too many people have the ESS compared to the Dinan...
What all is involved with the reprogramming? Are there any guru's in the states if I were to fabricate some brackets to install a vortech myself?

If I were you, I would try to contact the guy whose article I posted. He is a DIY type of guy. Here is VietSB's Website.
