Hello all,

I'm new to these boards and have a question. Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before.

I have an '86 535i. I have been doing some research since getting it and would like to know more about the Euro headlight conversions.
I have the opportunity to purchase a full set of ADJUSTABLE Euro headlights, with control and grill parts. I'm told that it is "plug and play". I assume that this means that no special wiring is needed and all I would have to do is run a vacuum line for the control.
Anyone have some expierience with this, or advise you would like to share with the FNG?

Thanks,
Larry

LarryT, I will do my best to answer this since nobdoy has been able to help you out so far. Usually, these aftermarket kits fit in perfectly fine and are pretty much just "plug and play". The Euro light kit just provides a "Euro-spec" beam pattern, which is a brighter and better beam projected onto the road. If night-time illumination is important to you, then I would say to definitely go for it. [thumb]

Mr. E,

Thanks for the reply. This is not an aftermarket kit, but actual Euro parts. I am debating wether to go that route or with Cibie replacement lights. Thanks for the info.

Bahnstormer,

Thanks for the input. I have seen these and they are the ones that I had under consideration. Back in the day, we used Cibie lights. I have been away from this for a while and when I think of good lighting, my default setting is Cibie.

Check with the regulations as you may need to use US lenses still. after all there must be some legal reason why BMW don't use the EURO setup for your car???
