get an adjustable wrench, put it on the bolt and hit the adjustable wrench with a hammer in the correct dirction. This will jostle it loose. remember the threads are in the opposite direction. (I forgot the dirstion a few weeks ago when i was putting a new timing belt in... worst part is i've removed the fan before and told people that it was the wrong direction.... sometimes... man)

by the way, just hit the adjustable with all you have in you... don't be gentle. (well don't break anything but....)

...what he said. I ordered my 32mm wrench and pulley holder from them. Now I can take off the fan in all of about 1 minute and I don't have to worry about breaking anything. The holes on the pulley holder are for the nuts to go though so you can hold the pulley while you take off the fan.

but its so easy with out the holder. you just have to do it a few times to get the hang of it. Just smack it right off!

The holder sounds expencive. But maybe i'm just cheap. (getting married in 2 weeks)

An adjustable is to fat and wont fit around the nut, I did get a 32mm and i cranked on it for about 1/2 hour, bashing it with my hand like the bently said, and bashing it with a hammer.

man that stinks. After I bashed mine in the wrong direction for a half an hours, just a couple bashes in the correct direction took it right off. I guess you'll have to get the tool.....

Sorry to hear that.

equate- sounds like your just turning it the wrong way (as most of us have) pretend your tightening it (clockwise) and beat it with a hammer.
