just purchased 2001 z3 with 3.0 and auto, have noticed that there's a lot of plastic on engine, radiator fittings ect any problems to be concerned about, also has 51000 miles and have been reading about inspection 2, seems to be very xpense for mostly just checking, is it really neccessary to have done, car was 1 owner and have all service records thanks in advance

That's the same car I have. I havent had any problems with the plastic bits. Inspection 2 can run upwards of $800 from what I understand, and that's if there are no problems. If you are capable of DIY, then DIY! There are resources available that explain what is inspected, and other places tell you how to do most of it.
