Foglight wiring

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody knows whether or not the E30 318is has the wiring installed as standard for the front foglights? My car has the rears, but I'm looking to purchase some Hella fogs for the front and I'm wondering whether it's a simple installation or not. If the wiring isn't already existing, are they supplied with new fogs?

The wiring should be there. buy the lamps and the switch and it should be plug an go - don't crucify me if your car for some reason isn't though. My '89 320 was fine, and I'd presume that your 318is would be too - I havn't seen any iS without fogs before BTW.

Sweet thanks for that mate. Yeah pretty much all of the 318is' over here in Aussie came without the optional front fogs which is a shame since they really finish off the look of the car.

The only other question I have is whether or not the new switch is sold with the lights themselves and, if not, are they still sold through BMW dealers? Also, did you plump for the Hella's?

I bought secondhand. $50-110 depending on condition here in NZ, so I'd guess they wouldn't be hugely different across the ditch.

So I got the switch from the same guy.
