The ring are made from glass...not plastic. That and the brightness are the two things that really set these guys apart from the rest of the angel eyes out there. They were originally designed for the e46, but I found that they are the exact size to fit into e30 headlamps. I did also discover that these won't work on e36s because the circumference of their headlamps are smaller...about 4" if I remember correctly. he e30 and e46s are 5.75".
Some small fabrication on your part will be required to make them fit...as I haven't designed an e30 installation kit for them yet. However, I don't think it would be any more difficult than with any other angel eye kit out there.
Would work, and its cheap. And if you really wanted to make your car look kinky you could put some other colours in, but then you might get bashed for being ricey.
Damn those look good, but I thought that you needed plastic lens covers for angel eyes in an E30? Or am I just another misinformed Bimmer noob <---(most likely) :-(
Angel eyes on an e30? That looks very ugly IMO.. If you want to upgrade your headlights, get some smiley's. They are brighter than stock and are just absolutely awesome -- they were MADE for earlier bmw's and are the 80's equivalent of angel eyes.
this is my friends e30, not angel eyes, but they still look sick in real life. (i'm not sure, but i think he's running his intake through the left high beam spot)

Yikes, 250 a PIECE!? I need to replace one of my headlights anyways which would be about 90 for an OEM one, so I was thinking if a set were under 200 i'd get some, but certainly not 500.

well the 'smiley' itself is for the day, they are called daytime driving lights. At night you wont see them becuase the projection beam is brighter than the 'smiley' part.
