oohh boy... i cant wait either.. just the spooling sound... mmm

this is what i got told:

Fit a programmable engine management system with fuel and ignition
control, this is an absolute must as it will offer you complete
control over the fuel and ignition mapping. You'll also need to size the
rest of the fuel injection components to suit i.e fuel pump, injectors

but yeah i dont know a whole lot about it...

yea, that is what i have gathered so far. my background in mechanics in general is limited & deals w/muscle cars & road racing motorcycles. so i am learning as i go.

luckily i have a bmwcca member real close to me willing to help me out. ray.. if u read this board.. thanks a lot.

& if the car wasnt already turbo'd i'd probably go s/c because i am more concerned about the squirt out of the corners (must be the motorcycle racing thing).

so how far along are you finch?

equate... i thought i posted the link already... becarefull when u open it ive been told there is a lot of pop ups & such.

this is the website of the person who originally built it.

http://www.cardomain.com/id/gary318it

i got it in not so good a shape... broken passenger glass, messed up interior, the smell of pee pee, & the frozen turbo.

ill take some pics before, during, & after. ill hopefully have all the mechanicals finished w/in a month at the most (except for the sub frame swap).. cosmetics/interior & rear end will be a project for next spring (actually i may do the rear end sooner cuz of the snow).
