Not every time, but it's happening more and more often, that when I'm accelerating through the higher end of 2nd and 3rd gears the engine makes a bogged-down "waaaa" sound and the engine studders/chokes a bit and loses acceleration power. For lack of a better descriptin, it's kinda like when you are starting a weed-wacker and working the choke between 1/2 and full choke and the engine makes a bogged-down noise until you take the choke off...
It seems like it might be a fuel delivery problem. -and it generally only happens when I drive more aggresively.

Does anyone have any ideas to trouble shoot the problem and what it could be?

I'm thinking maybe the fuel injectors need some work. The fuel filter and pump (inside the tank) were replaced ~1 yr ago.

thanks

I know exactly what your discription describes.
Before jumping straight into injectors and the like, try simple things.

= Whats your air filter like, is it clogged with dirt?
= How long have your spark plugs been in, how many kms/miles they done?
= try a higher octane fuel?
= fuel filter

If the fuel filter was changed last year, change it again because its cheap and easy to do, (rather than pull your injectors to find that they are fine)
Always start with simple things dude!
Peace and good luck!
