My Bimmer has 350,000 good miles on it and suddenly it died and will not start evethough the battery is new and very stong. When I turn the key, the sound of the battery and ignition is strong. I cannot recall if you can hear the fuel pump that is back at the tank make a slight sound just before the car starts.
We have checked just about eveything on this car and found nothing. Can anyone discuss the fuel pump(s) and whether I should hear any sound just before the car starts? Hey if anyone has anyother idea, I'ld love to hear them.

You can pull the bottom of the back seat up and pull off and the access panel on the passenger side and listen for it there. See if its getting any voltage and see if it is turning. I was able to pound on mine for a week while starting the car to make it last another week in my old 91.
