Can anyone direct to a place where I can attain a key for my fuse box. Its kind of difficult to find which one is for my pw when all I have are numbers on the lid. Thanks

If it's not what Big Daddy gave you, give a shout back and I'll look in the bentley manual and scan it for you. Although it might be what Big Daddy did.

That's it! I appreciate it. Now, just in case that isn't what's wrong with my pw, where is the power safety switch. I can find it in my schematics but that doesn't help find it in the car.

(I have to get a Bentley Publications manual [rolleyes] )

You mean the thing that disables the windows themselves (ie what would normally disable the rear windows) It should be right on the console behind the ash tray, next to the shifter.

Actually, on an '85 it would be on the dash next to either the defroster or hazard lights switch depending on what holes they placed the particular switches in that year. In my '87, it is between the fader switch and the defroster switch.

Im not sure, I'm only going off of what is in the schematic in my haynes manual. Also, I was lookin at the key and realized it doesn't have a relay or fuse for the power windows. In the schematic there is a relay but I don't know where it or the fuse is.

Haynes is useless for bmw's...use your bently (as far as i remember, they had wiring diagrams). The haynes manual for my current car is like 210 pages long, the bently is over 1,000 pages long

I don't have a Bentley yet, but I see I need one.

It was the safety switch. [bmwdance] The problem is you have to hold it to roll the windows down and it is isn't labeled so I didn't know what it was. THANK YOU!! Driving that dark car in 90+ degree weather with the window up and no A/C was miserable.
