What price was it? Could it mean the shifter carrier? The thing that attaches to the back of the tranny that your shifter is mounted in? But then what would be wrong with that that it would need replacement?
Either that or it's the brace that goes from one side of the driveshaft tunnel to the other that has the two rubber mounts for the tranny. I've had mine break before.
This thing?

well, according to this recipt the part was $818.20 (im not sure if thats including labour or not)
Thats whats getting me scotty, the price of this thing....

The link to the tranny mount you posted was the first thing i thought of, but ive since got a price on that part (just to figure out) and it's significantly cheaper than $818.20.

maybe the last owner that had this work done got very ripped off. I dunno.

IF that invoice is hand written, maybe it reads "transmission Shell"? The housing might have been cracked and replaced? Hell of a lot of labour to change the housing though. Weird.
