Great Story

I know this doesn't belong here, but since I'ma regular I figured I would share a funny story with you guys. I still can not stop laughing about it.

Great Story!
Me and my buddies used to all be bouncers in major clubs in Cleveland, in the 5 years we did it we thought we have seen pretty much everything possible. Well last night for the first time in years we worked security for a club thathas been having some problems, thinking we have the fire like we used to we did it, 3 of us. We had no idea what we where in for, there was a riot last week so they thought security could keep the peace this week. it was like rap night or some crap, I'm not racist but me and my 2 friends along with the owner where the only white dudes in the place. There must have been like 100-120 people in there possibly of which 90 where guys. All had colors on, mostly red bandana's. Well to make a long story short a fricken riot breaks out, chairs and tables flying, bottles flying, all hell broke loose in the club. It was some kind of gang war or somthing. Me and friends looked at each other like what the f@$k! The owner runs to us and says get them out of here, I said "f@$k You" looked at my buddies and said lets get the f@$k out of here! We took off, and I still can not stop laughing. We where suposed to be security and we where the first dudes the hell out of the bar.
That was a battle that there was no winning for us 3.

I can handle the fighting part, but the chairs, gangs, etc... I was not f'ing with. Instead of the 40 on 40 gang war it would have been 80 gang bangers beating on 3 white dudes.

Pretty funny shit!!!

I used to work door in college & grad school (in Ohio, too). When the shit hits the fan, you end up getting arrested & sued for putting your hand on someone's shoulder but the guy who shoots at you or tries to stab or breaks a pool cue over your back you gets 10hrs community service.

Whatever you were getting paid sure isn't worth getting killed.

I have no sympathy for the owner, he is the one that was sponsoring "Rap Night" and would be the receipent of the profits. Too often situations like this are a result of someone tyring to profit and the taxpayer suffers the cleanup bill.

That's exactly what happened less than a mile from my house. A restaurant/bar that has bands hired a band popular with the angry rap crowd. Long story short - patrons got in a fight [chair] , bouncer got knifed [hatchet] , 40 person brawl in the parking lot, 6 different township police depts plus the State Police had to respond. Took 20 minutes to break it up, only 4 people arrested.

The kicker - the OWNER of the bar shows up at the next township supervisors meeting asking for free police coverage in the parking lot every Friday and Saturday! [:(!]

Yeah, but who's fault is it? It is a CLUB, people are supposed to be having a good time fighting. It is the customers themselves who f*ck everything up. Clubs are great money-making establishments and they should get all the law enforcement help possible. The clubs just wanna make money and show people a good time...not their fault that the people decide to have a freaking gang war.

Why should "they get all the law enforcement help possible"? Taxpayers fund the police so private enterprise looking to make a buck should not get free security, or rather security at the taxpayer expense. And suppose an officer is injured the taxpayers are now paying his medical bills and maybe an early retirement so that Mr. Club owner can make a profit! The clubs should be required to pay for the security and any and all damages resulting from their lack of control of their patrons. I am part owner of a distribution business, maybe I can get the police to transport some of the smaller packages for me while they are on patrol, that way I could save some fuel costs and make more money. [hihi]

hehe..that's pretty funny. Like someone mentioned above, 3 security officers isn't enough. Out here in CA, the rent off duty cops for events like this. A few years ago, a couple of convenient stores got looted after a rap concert. Since then, city police officers would block off most main intersection and made sure people left the city peacefully.

Well, I guess I can throw my two cents in the middle of a thread that didn't have any real substance to begin with.

No offence, obviously I made it this far so there must have been something to read.

As I drink my natural light and worry about having dunlaps disease... my belly having 'dun lapped' over my belt...

It's 4:23am and I'm pretty hammered... Good Night (morning).
