I have been tossing around the idea of changing my lights to angel eyes...

How do I tell if my current lights are Halogen or Xenon? If Xenon was even available on my 2000...

What are the pros and cons of Halogen and Xenon Angel Eyes?

TIA.

Xenon lights flicker into action and then emit a very white light, seen as blue if looking at the headlights. Likely that you will only have xenon on dip, the main beam will be halogen. Bi-xenon headlamps only introduced on the new 2004 series models. Xenons are appreciably better at illuminating the road than halogens.

Xenon is just one of those things that you have to experience to appreciate. My benz (1995 E220) has normal Halo's and that was ok for me....then I bought my 530i with the bi xenon adaptive lights.....now I literally have a difficult time really see'ing at night when I drive the benz. Maybe I am just getting old and my sight is failing, but I would never go back to halo's after the Xenon experience....just my opinion.
