LAUPHEIM, Germany — BMW tuning meister Richard Hamann is injecting some magic into the already superb M5 with his new Widebody kit and Edition Race wheels.
Included in the M5 Widebody package is an aerodynamic kit that bundles a front spoiler, side sills, rear spoiler and rear apron with integrated diffuser, along with a sport rear muffler and four round stainless steel exhaust pipes.
Hamann also lowers the M5's suspension, upgrades the brakes and tweaks the engine, bumping output to 567 horsepower and deactivating the electronic speed limiter to permit top speeds approaching 200 mph, depending on the wheel/tire combination.
The company offers a variety of custom wheels for the M5, in sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches. The top of the line is Hamann's Edition Race three-piece forged alloy wheels.
To complete the new look, an interior kit bundles carbon fiber trim and inserts; aluminum pedals, footrest and handbrake lever; and black floor mats with a hand-stitched Hamann logo.
For more information, see the Hamann Web site.
What this means to you: If the M5 isn't quite fast enough for you…
