Very excited. Its Cobalt Metallic Blue w/ Cinammon Nappa interior. Every option available is on this one. I live in the stat of VT and am picking the car up on Long Island, NY. What is the general consensus on bras( Nose masks ) the dealer has 2 options..... 1) a 3m laminate which is clear and is apllied to the entire front of the vehicle and can not be removed unless done by shop

sorry, 2) BMW bra, again by dealer which essentially gets clamped around front bumper, this one can be taken off at will. Are they really worth it?

I live on a 1.5 mile dirt road and am insane about keeping my vehicles in showroom condition. Wondering if these " protective products" are worth it and are they safe to the finish. Thanks

I have a friend who's got the "stoneguard" protection on his brand-new 330i ZHP. Looks very subtle even from only a couple of feet away. I'd definitely choose it over the traditional car bra. That thing looks ugly!

Congrats on your car, and welcome! [welcome]

Hi Adam, congrats on the new purchase. I have the dealer bra on mine and it's been great on long trips. There were several occasions where I hit debris on the road and suffer no scratches thanks to the bra.

Here is an image of it installed for the first time. Most of the wrinkles you see has gone away and now it fits very nicely.

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I may opt for the dealer bra. I could always take it off when I want, plus, its fun waxing the front nose.

geesh the influx of new m owners.. i'm soooo envious [:(]

i'm more for the bra.. i hate it, but for long highway driving, or in your case, 1.5 miles of dirt, it'll be worth it. but only if you can take it off once in a while to enjoy it [:p]

i'm miffed that dealer doesn't offer a bra for the zhp package. anyone know where i can get one?

as for the clear stuff, they are nice, cept i think they may yellow out after a few years. certified S4 i was looking at had it, and edges were already yellowing out.. so i skipped out on the clear plastic cover option..

Congrats on the fly-ass ride......one thing to keep in mind seeming that you live off of a dirt road.....is that a bra WILL trap dirt underneath it and after very little time you will see scratches from where a small rock got stuck between the paint and the bra. Take the bra off often and ensure that the fluffy underside is clean and free of debris. The bra is definately the RIGHT way to go.
