I have a 93 525i that I replaced the evaporator on. I had to cut a line on the old core to get the expansion valve off. Does the refrigerant line fitting tubes that connect to the top of the expansion valve move in and out inside their housing to allow easier placement of the valve? I can't get the new valve installed.
