Is there a difference between the nappa leather that you would choose when building a 2005 M3 and the nappa leather that comes in the premium package?

I ask this because I don't want the bmw assist blue tooth technology when I order the M3...and if it is the same leather, I'd just order the moonroof and power seats and put the difference into the Competition Pkg.

Both the same leather. You can either get the leather as part of the Premiuim Package, or you can opt for the leather individually if you do not care for the other items included in the Premium Package.

I have the premium package in my M3 and I have to say it is the nicest leather I've seen so far in BMW's besides maybe some 7's. My brothers 2004 545i Sport/Premium leather pales in comparison, the M3's leather is much smoother, softer, and much more pliable. Very very nice.

BMW leather isnt that great, but I think the M leather is definitely a cut above the rest. At least miles ahead when compared to my old 2000 328Ci or my brothers 545i. Imo anyway.

Man, I don't know what you guys are talking about. The only Bimmer I have owned that I didn't like the leather was an E36. The leather in my 5 and 7 was beautiful, even after 130k+ miles.

Abdoman, have you sat in an M3? [cheers] There is quite a difference. I had a 04 330ci with black leather and a friend of mine has an 03 525 with grey leather that I ride in all the time. Both were quite stiff. I then sat in an M3, and the nappa leather just molds to your frame.
