I think it depends on where you are. Does the Bay Area have a lot of M3s around? I was looking in Scottsdale and the dealer had 5 on the lot. The used '04 with 2k miles on it was priced higher than retail price of a brand new one. Don't know if they actually expect to get that much for it, but I was suprised they'd as that much for a used car.

There are a fair share of Ms in this area. What I was figuring was @ 5% - 10% discount. MSRP with the options is around $57K. I was figuring I should be able to get it @ $50K. Does this sound about right?

$50k sounds like a good deal esp on a '04. Which part of the Bay area are you from?
I'm on the peninsula (San Mateo).

I appreciate the advice guys And...
I just picked up an '03 loaded (Les SMG) w/4700 mi about 3 hrs ago. Got a great deal; I'm still in shock. [ohcrap]

It's Siver/Grey. I just cant believe it; it was this car or a G35... I think we made the right choice [thumb]

Congrats.
I test drove an 03 M3 cabrio w/SMG, Nav with about 4k miles and they were asking $58K (probably was about 60k new). I don't think they would go anywhere near the low 50's. Seems like it's a real application of supply and demand against how long they want to hold on to the car. As the salesguy said, "This isn't a car museum." (LOL). Last I checked it was still there, but I'll check when I pick up my car.
