Hi All,
I am getting very close to make my so dreamed M3 become reality.

So I have few points to consider, such as color, etc.
The yellow coupe has always been in my mind but since it
is not a very common color around does it hold value like the
silver metallic?

so... conservative silver metallic or "I-have-arrived" Phoenix Yellow?

Should I wait for the 2005 model ?
As far as investment goes... any input?

Thanks and I will have more questions before I make up my mind.

Congrats odiesback! If I were you I would go with your gut instinct and if you really like the Phoenix Yellow, buy it. The resale on all M3's are going to be good no matter what color you buy. I see many Silver M's, but not that many Yellow. Go-for-broke and get the Yellow and stand out just a bit more. Either way they are both nice colors on an awesome car.

Who knows when the "05" model is coming out. Why wait? The "04" model is very nice and in my area very available depending what you want on it. Are you going with a coupe are vert?

Good Luck......

all bells and whistles... I still need to get a lot of homework
on the car.. thakns again..

Phoenix Yellow is a great looking color and very rare indeed. Unfortunately I believe that color has been discontinued as of '03.

Might want to check into that Tom, I was the American/German dealership inquiring about trading my 5er for an M3 and that was the color I wanted for a 05 model. It is still available over here at least. European delivery should fix that problem if it should arise.

I checked my dealership's web page and at least there they offer
the yellow color.
What are the implications of opting for 19" rims instead of 18"?
I see a lot of discussion on this topic.

I am taking a test drive problably this weekend to feel for reals
why I am considering buying one.

Cant wait.

Well I just checked BMWUSA.com and that color is still available. I guess the rumors I've read last year was wrong. The funny thing is I also see LS Blue on that which is another color I thought was discontinued. So much for keeping up with BMW on their site. [:D]

My top three favorite M3 colors, in no specific order: alpine white, laguna seca blue, phoenix yellow.

Get any of these and you'll be a winner in my eyes [;)]
