I replaced both front and back control arms (front right wheel) and now tire is not centered in the well, it's slightly back.
I looked but I cannot find any adjustment anywhere.

What do I do now ????

My wheels look like this if viewed from top

You MUST take it to a shop! You will never ever EVER get an acceptable alignment on your own without the thousands of dollars worth of alignment eqipment that a normal garage will use. But, you adjust it via the tie rods which are connected to the center link. At least try to get it close for the drive TO the garage. If it is off enough it will be a serious threat to your saftey, and will wear your tire to the beads in about 100 miles.

Loosen the bolts that keep the center part from spinning. (NOT THE BALL JOINTS.) Then spin the center part which ever way makes it 'extend' (the threads on one of the ends is reversed so when its spun it makes the tie rod 'longer')

But yea, you will have to take it to a shop. It's only like $50-$100. 5er's are only adjustable in the front, so you wont have to pay for a 4 wheel alignment.

Eric, I understood it that he was planning on taking it to get it professionally aligned, but after replacing the control arms, the passenger side toe angle was so bad that he wouldn't be able to drive it to the alignment shop.

Yep, turn that adjusting sleeve and get her as good as you can get it before taking it in. After I replaced my struts, the toe angle wasn't off enough to be obvious to the naked eye. However, it was off enough that driving the 8 miles to the alignment shop resulted in "cupping" of the outside edges of the tires. It doesn't take much to do serious damage to your tires.

Thank you for the reply, and yes of course I am going to the shop, but getting there is my problem, my wheels are so opened they squeel while driving.

I still don't understand why this happened. I had to replace the arms since I hit a big pothole.

I will adjust tie rod end.

Oh okay gotcha. I actually drive 6 miles to the shop to get my e30 aligned after replacing the entire front suspension - including steering rack. It squeeled like CRAZY but I tried my best to get an 'alignment' and it just didn't work. Didn't do any tire damage, but that is because I had "lifetime" cooper tires with a rubber compound harder than steel. [thumbd]
