I have a transmission that I've been kicking around and I need it in. Originally I was going to do it myself until I realized a lift would be better. Anyone have an idea of what a transmission swap would go for at a shop?
If you're swapping one tranny for the same model (i.e. manual for a manual), I can't really imagine it would cost you more than an hour or two of labor at most. It's not an extremely difficult process to do with the right tools.
get a bigger jack.... I did an engine swap, suspension basically everything (except the diff) laying on the floor. it can be done. and its not that hard, but i could do it in a quarter of the time now that ive done it once.
