Hey,
I am in the market for a new (quiet) power supply, and I think I am going to go with a SilenX unit (Http://www.silenx.com/), but I am trying to decide what wattage level I want. My gut tells me to go with a 400 watt PSU, especially since I'm going to add a water cooling kit soon. Is there a way I can find out how much power (in watts) my computer is drawing from the PSU?
I am well aware that if my computer draws 200 watts, I should not save $$ and get a 200 watt PSU as that 200 watt rating is for like a 60-degree room temperature, etc. But if my computer only draws about 200 watts, I can save a lot of loot (something like $40) by going with a 300 watt unit rather than a 400 watt unit. Anyways, anybody know of any utilities, or maybe some feature of WinXP or of my system BIOS that will tell me the information I need?
Thanks,
MrElussive
