Sounds like it is time for a Car Control Clinic? You had to be doing something wrong were you hard on the throttle in a corner? Not trying to poke fun of you, but seriously those clinics can teach you bunches. Glad your ok!

No wasnt pushing it atall, its a really dodgey bend and loads of cars slip on it its got the right conditions, as it was I left work and I felt the back end slip out, got to the first corner of a junction so i was doing a 10 mph and i felt it go again just slightly so I was expecting this paticular corner to be a bit slippy but not to this degree, its acctually a bend leading to the exit of an industial estate where a lot of artic lorrys pull out on and you get a fair bit of derv on it because of this.

At least I have to get my new rims sooner than I thought much to my wife dismay [clap]

That sucks! You're just inexperienced with the E30. The e30 is the most squirly well handling car I've ever driven, the 318 is probably worse (lighter). Honestly I think the e30 has unique handling on the lines of how unique an older 911 handling is.

Had the car up today to check out the damage, apart from not having much left of my left rim i,ve bent the wishbone. Could hae been at lot worse, like I said its a junction that alot of artic lorrys use and thankfully there wasnt any coming in or out. And no, there was no physical damage, just annoyance and my pride

What part do you mean by wishbone? The cars don't have one... I assume you mean control arm? That's not really expensive! So that's good for you [hihi] You can get all the parts you need for a very reasonable price.

I love the way my bimmer handles. Ever since i instaleld myu LSD too! In snow I can take that car sidesways, and no matter how hard i try, It always just want to straighten out in the direction i tell it to go. Only time i never have problems is when i get greedy.
As far as normal driving when i am not having fun, it handles great, yo ucan feel the road, and handles like a charm.

sorry to hear about that. i had a similar experience when i first got my car. to leave where i work, you have to pull out into a divided highway, i was turning left and it was late so there were no cars out so instead of just stopping in the middle, i kept on going, but didnt see the ice that was on the road as soon as i turned the wheel the back end slid out and my car spun around so i was facing traffic. that scared my, messed up the wheel pretty bad, but i got a boneyard wheel for $50. kinda irritated me, that was the best looking wheel on the whole car. o well, im gonna start sending them out one at a time to get repaired/refinished. sorry for my lil rant, but still glad to hear ure ok and the bimmer sustained minimal damage, just keep on truckin!

Yeah sorry, by wishbone I meant trailing arm so its not to much of a major hassle.
Rukus were did you get the LSD from how much and how much hassle is it to dort out, I think I could do with one, then I can have some fun spinning when I want it to spin in large open areas instead of me filling my pants and thinking' mmm I hope this stops before I smash into that gate lodge, oh luckily for me the large kerb sining has stopped me in my rotation, how fortunate for me. Couldn't have stopped in the gravel 2 metres away could it... oh no.
Oh well, at least I can get my new rims for her next week. lol

went to the car hospital today to collect my baby. It feels so good to have her back, mind you I was a bit nervy about that one dodgy bend tonight especially with all the snow about the place. Didn't spin her out this time though. Well happy.
All I need now is new rims...Anyone want to buy three 3 spoke alloys and on three spoke alloy slightly demolished..LOL [driving2]
