Im sure this question has been posted b4, but I was wondering if anyone has found a way to not have the warning come on the I drive screen everytime u start the car, or a way for it to go off by itself, thanks! [wave]

so a post on another board about pressing the radio button (volume knob on the dash by the CD player) before starting the car and the warning screen would not come up. Don't know if its true, haven't tried it! Can't remember if you were supposed to press it once then start or hold while starting.

Did it work? It did NOT work on mine. It is some sort of BMW safety thing that i do not believe can be overridden. Not really that big of an issue is it?

didn't work on mine either, and in the end whether you're pressing the button on the radio or pressing the iDrive knob, you still have to press something to make it go away. By this time, I don't even notice the screen any more, just sit down, start the car and automatically press the iDrive knob.

I'm guessing the warning is like a "Don't pay too much attention to the screen while driving" kinda thing?
I don't think it's much of a big deal since all cars with navigation systems do this same thing (from my experience). My parents' Mercedes both require you to hit the "OK" button when you wanna access the navigation. My brother's RX300 requires you to press the "I AGREE" button on the screen (it's a touch screen) every time you start up the car, and with my car, whenever I pop up the navigation for the first time after the car has been started, I have to press the joystick button to say "I agree" to whatever the hell the warning states before I can start using the navigation unit.
Not only that, Japanese cars (both my Infiniti and my brother's Lexus) don't allow you to input a destination in the navigation while the vehicle is moving !! How stupid is that??
My point is that there is probably no way to override the warning, but all cars with navigation systems (or iDrive) have this initial warning every time you start the car.
