I've been in such a funk after my overseas trip and I think most on the board have been in some kind of funk too over the summer, due to lack of responses and general chit chat that is not normal for this board...............so tonight I took my little boy for a ride topless, a full moon, light breeze, only 80 degrees.....and clear as a bell...........a Z3 came up beside me at a redlight with his top down too.......we nodded and smiled.......next redlight, he said nice car, I said likewise, next redlight, I said everybody should have a BMW convertible, we laughed about wanting a 6 Series convertible, but he said he needed to eat and that life aint that bad with what we had..........light changed and waved goodbye.......and I'm thinking, yep he's right, life aint bad........now if could just get this board going again.........Cosmos barely lists a joke anymore, Wil never winks, Big Daddy usually has some advice, never see Wadula or Vlad, Ghost is not posting any wisdom, Code and Toolman are still trying tho, EPJ is not arguing about Bush, Bryan has had a lot of personal problems, Tom is tied up with his new car, ManuEl well, he's ManuEl.....and Frolf is still the best, there's a lot of new members we know nothing about........do we only have posts when its about Bush, Kerry, Iraq...........there is more to life.......I'm even starting to miss BMWFanatic........jeepers, help me here..........

Welcome new members........we are usually a better group.........did the picture of my foot kill off the sentiment on this board...........I dont feel the love anymore.......can we have some love..........show some love........ [clap] [clap]

fixed it for ya.- manuel

I love you, Lisha! [wiggle] Life is good, I had a busy summer, what with working at St. Jude in Memphis and then taking a vacation out west. Now I'm back in the grind of school, so I'll be around more.

I love you too! Remember that I am part of the older persons in this crowd and sometimes say how I feel without much thought to how others will take it. I apologize to any and all whom I may have offended and will most likely offend again, sorry it is just me!

If I remember correctly a certain banned member (hint: sounds like "mush a cough" [hihi] )used the "banana" in his sig or avatar at one point. Didn't the mods ask him to remove it?

WOh MAN … you are SO amazing. There is nothing like the gentle touch of a woman to tame the arduous man into a quixotic creation of nature. (how’s that? [hihi] )

“My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.”(1) Life is simple its just not easy. You see, “He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.”(2) “The meaning of life is not an unquestionable answer; it is an unanswerable question.”(3) My question is not, why do I like talking with and helping my friends and family? That I know the answer to. My question is how can I have thirty-three hour days so as to do more of both?

I haven’t been here long, so I don’t have an annual comparison, but I hope that it was a beneficial summer for everyone. We may all have our highs and lows and sometimes I think that we alternate the expressions of those feelings. During summer, I think, feel, hope that many are enjoying the weather with friends and family. Both the young and old(er) [:)] because the young adults are out of school and (hopefully) spending some time with their elders to learn about family. I think that subliminally some people get more agitated when spending time indoors during the summer because of the appreciation for the weather and the knowledge that winter weather is in the future and the opportunity to enjoy certain activities outside will end. Whereas in the winter when it gets so cold it is dangerous to be outside (here anyway), people are happier to be inside. Either way I agree I hope things go back to normal.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. - Anonymous

Lisha, I hope that you enjoy the “pearls.” [;)]

Yeah, sorry about that. I got so busy working at St. Jude during the summer - the surgeon I was working with made sure that I didn't have a whole lot of free time. What free time I had I spent with my girlfriend since the next time I will see her will be after Christmas. It wasn't a particularly relaxing summer.

Memphis wasn't that bad, though. There's a lot of stuff there. Tell ya what, though - the people can't drive - AT ALL. Oh, the things I saw.....

Now I'm back in sedating Winston Salem...

I have my moments when my emotions arn't all intertwined with my compadres down in Iraq. Life for me at the moment is the little things, the smile on my little girls face, her inquisitive eye, the smell of her hair. For me right now life is about her life. I am preoccupied with not making the same mistakes I made with my 9 year old boy. I have deep seated feelings about all the members of this board...I have never met any of you, but I feel as if I saw one of you walking down the street, I could identify you. Great group of people...bit hostile at times...but a great lot.... all of you. I hope for many days of posting to come and some of the entertaining and vivacious responses that you are all famouse for.

geez...now that is a thread. Lisha, thanks for starting it [thumb]

Well, what can I say (except that I need some spelling classes as well from time to time [hihi])...I am working on my comeback which is 100% related to not having internet at home yet.

I said that to my modding colleagues already: I miss the board and I miss to chat around with you, the remembers and heart of it. But as the Californian Terminator once put it:

" I´ll be back " (please add the austrian accent while reading)

I was gone for quite some time with the birth of my 2nd child, my son. Kids keep you very busy. I have been very busy with work too. I missed all the time I didn't have posting on this board and to some I may even seem like a new member, but I am not. I too am an older member, but feel very young inside and enjoy all the treasures of life. I am still trying to setup a time to meet with Big Daddy to have coffee and conversation. Too bad we all don't live in the same state/city. Life is good so enjoy....

P.S. Very nice post Ghost. I can relate to every word. You too tool Fan, I feel the same way with my daughter and son.

Well, I noticed the view count to my CHEERS! threads were not too good, and I usually get the same responses from the same few members.
So I figured maybe I should back off a little...?
