IRC Channel Instructions

Well I deleted the old thread becuase people werent coming in and it took up a little too much bandwidth but I converted the images to be smaller so here it goes again.


To connect to the BMW Channel IRC channel to chat with each other:


1. Download mIRC at www.mirc.com and install the application.


2. After entering the program, click on the Options icon.

3. Under IRC Networks click on EFNet

4. In the next Menu, select a IRC server from the list (I reccomend EFnet: EU, UK, London )

5. Fill in the Full Name, Email Address, Nickname, Alternate Nickname and click OK. (Please note: The info is not used for anything but to auth you in the channel)

6. Click the Lightning bolt. mIRC will now connect to the IRC server.

7. After connecting, close the small Channel list/menu that comes up. At the bottom of the window for the server, type in /join #BMW-Board and it will connect to the channel.

Same here. Just to let people know who havent tried this; it really is fun. Just try it out. If you dont like it, its not very hard to delete it!
