ok, i am compiling parts so i can get this thing on the road.

85 318i 4door manual.

here is what i will order from the junkyard (all my local ones are fresh out of early 318i's it seems).

I need passenger front glass. What other models of e30 will be compatable (power windows).

Also, my drivers glass will go down.. but it doesnt want to go up (relay or regulator???). How do I test the motor to see if i need a new one? What motors are compatable? (i may need one for the pass side too). i know there are threads to some of these questions already (ive read some), is there one definitive thread though (i work 70+ hrs a week & dont have a lot of research time).

I need a cold start injector/valve. Local parts stores do not have it & they are expensive... is this part unique to the M10, or can i get one of another engine?

thanks.

pretty much any engine is "commpatable" with enough time, effort and money.. but what are you after? you may be able to rebuild the m10 that you have in there (im not sure how bad its current state is..) and do some work de do the turbo bits and you'd be away, but if you wanted some thing bigger then...... hmmmm.....

sorry cant help you on the windows and cold start valve..

I've got spare glass and motors that I ripped out of my 325e (1985). I also have nearly every other part from the car if you need something. I've never been inside of a 318 so I'm not sure if the pieces will fit but I'm relatively certain that they will.

finch.. the m10 is fine & i am keeping it for my turbo project. i just need a cold start injector for it & was wondering if another motor has the same one.

e30frk.. if your parts will fit on my 318... how much do u want for the passenger front glass, the front motors, relays, & regulators.

anyone else know if they are compatable?

any answers to the motor questions?

thanks

I gotta check to see if I even have the regulators still. I'd have to find the relay, but I'm sure I still have it, and the glass I'll sell for 15 (25 on ebay) and the motor 10 (20-25 on ebay). So grand total 25 for the motor and glass so long as you can cover shipping. Do you have a part number for the relay? Let me know if you find a better deal cuz I'll bet anyone's price.
