Just bought an '02 3.0!!

Yup, just like that! I bought a 325i in the spring, and since my wife's 1998 Jimmy is on it's last legs, we started chatting about a replacement. We went looking yesterday and found the perfect X5. 2002, 32,000 kms, $44k. Sunroof, Steel Blue and Factory-installed trailer hitch are the options. Oh yeah, Auto Tranny as well. Hurray!

It is Certified, I wouldn't buy it otherwise. I pick it up Wednesday. Oh yeah, it's for my wife. I'm jealous!!

We'll be towing a horse trailer next spring. Pics later!

Well, the Jimmy has 100k miles, the windshield has two stone cracks, the parking brake is busted, and the paint job is ruined from horses' teeth and brush out in our field. I'm trying to trade it to a local farmer for a used tractor with a bucket so i don't have to use the X5 for mucking out!!! Otherwise I'll take the plates off the Jimmy and use her as a "tractor".
I'm seriously considering buying an extended service warranty for the X5 though...Once I find out what the 120,000km warranty from BMW covers.
