Just got back from Vegas - a few pics

I was in Vegas this past week at a Siemens users group conference, I presented a technical paper on some software developement work my company has done. Had a few nice surprises while I was there.

Siemens sponsors the NASCAR Kasey Kahne team. Ray Evernham of Evernham Motorsports was a keynote speaker. Even if you do not like NASCAR, this guy is a great success story and great motivational speaker. The surprise was that all of the paper presenters at the conference were given a 1:24 scale metal Kasey Kahne car, SIGNED by both Kahne and Evernham. A very nice collectors' item.

Intel sponsored a private party for us at the Luxor Ra nightclub. There were some Egyptian themed surprises! Check out the size of the snake in the upper right picture:

Those Gypsy ladies are hot! I am going to Vegas & Grant Canyon the coming July 4 weekend. Got any other suggestions on place to go?

I highly recommend the Cirque du Soleil "KA" Show at the MGM Grand. The entire show was incredible, I was totally amazed at how they integrated live actors/acrobats/gymnasts with extremely advanced stage automation and special effects.

I was in Vegas May28th through June 1st.........a co-worker (female and I) got kicked out of Margaritaville, escorted to the door mind you.........we were like "where's Jimmy" "what happened to laid back days"..........so laughing.......we missed each other Kirby, I was there for a light show........

I was a good boy, my wife was with me. A couple of the guys we were with jumped up on the stage with the dancers, but they didn't even get yelled at, seems like they were more lenient with a private party.

Ahhhh Las Vegas...... You guys need to go up to Reno and Lake Tahoe (thats where I am from) At least there is more to do there than go to Casinos.

Really? I'm in Roseville right now. Jumped up to Tahoe and Reno for Memorial day. Kinda bored when there's no skiing around. What's there to do besides casinos?

Hiking, Mountain biking, water skiing, swimming, fishing, golfing, hang gliding.....boring my heiny, I lived there most of my life.......aaaaaaaaaaaand there alot of pretty women in Reno.
